General Membership Meeting - June 12, 2009

Potluck Dinner at 6:00 PM and Meeting at 7:00 PM.

Chainsaw Certification Class
& Defensive Horsemanship Class

The date for the Defensive Horsemanship Class is set for Sunday, May 3 from 9:00 am to around 3:00 or so. Dave & Pandi Gruver have graciously offered to host the class at their home outside of Newport. I will send directions at a later date.

The date for the Chainsaw Certification Class is set for Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 am to around 4:30 or so. The classroom portion (1st 1/2 of the day) will be held here at the Priest Lake Ranger Station located 32 miles up Highway 57 north of the town of Priest River. The field exercise (afternoon) will be held at the Reynolds Group Site a few miles south of the station. Folks need to bring a sack lunch and gloves, wear sturdy boots, long pants and dress warmly. The Forest Service will provide chainsaws, hardhats, chaps, ear plugs and safety glasses.
